Outland Skinning Trainer
Burning Crusade Classic Skinning can be learned from the following trainers:
- Jelena Nightsky – Honor Hold, Hellfire Peninsula [54.5, 62.2]
- Moorutu – Thrallmar, Hellfire Peninsula [56.3, 38.5]
- Seymour – Lower City, Shattrath [63.6, 66.0]
After learning Master Skinning, all you need is a Skinning Knife and you’re good to go.
Skinning: 1-300
To get your profession to 300 you can use our Classic Skinning Guide.
Skinning: 300-375
300-310
Knothide Leather Scraps and Knothide Leather
Starting in Outland on the Hellfire Peninsula, you are looking for areas that are owned by Helboars (Starving Helboar or Hulking Helboar). You can find them northwest of Zeth’Gor and between Falcon Watch and the Ruins of Sha’Naar.
310-330
You can keep skinning on Hellfire Peninsula up until skill level 330, but you need other NPCs to skin. You are now looking for any type of Ravager: Quillfang Ravager (between Hellfire Peninsula and Zangarmarsh), Razorfang Ravager (between Hellfire Peninsula and Terokkar) or Thornfang Ravager around Falcon Watch.
330-350
Knothide Leather and Thick Clefthoof Leather
When you have reached 330, the fastest way forward is to head to Nagrand. There you can skin Clefthoof, Clefthoof Bull and Aged Clefthoof for their Knothide Leather and Thick Clefthoof Leather.
350-375
Knothide Leather and Nether Dragonscales
To max your skinning skill, head to the eastern edge of Netherstorm (Nether Drake and Nether Dragon) or south of Death’s Door in the Blade’s Edge Mountains (Lesser Nether Drake as well as Nether Whelp) and skin Nether Drakes.
Skinning Equipment
There are some items that can improve or buff your Skinning ability. First, of course, you can use the Enchant Gloves – Skinning. And then there are two notable weapons that can be used as skinning knives AND improve your skill:
- Finkle’s Skinner – drops from The Beast, Blackrock Spire [Dagger]
- Zulian Slicer – drops from High Priest Thekal, Zul’Gurub
