This guide shows you one or more of the best and most efficient routes to farm Thick Leather in World of Warcraft Classic and is exactly what you need if you want to gather materials yourself instead of spending your gold on it on the auction house. If Thick Leather is not what you are looking for, you may take a look at all available farming guides.
If you have never skinned before and you want to know how to level your Skinning fast and easy, take a look at our Classic Skinning Leveling-Guide!
We recommend you to start your skinning adventures with empty bags. In order to skin them, you have to loot them and most of the time you get a lot of grey, useless stuff that will fill your inventory pretty quickly.
You need at least Skinning 240 to get this leather. If you try to skin with lower skill, chances are that you will only get Heavy Leather – if you can skin the mobs at all. Take the NPCs Level x5 to find out if your skill is high enough to skin the creature.
The best spot to farm Thick Leather is in the Blackrock Depths, the NPCs you are looking for are Bloodhound. Of course, this is only possible if you don’t go alone. If you killed and skinned all the Bloodhounds in the marked area, just leave the dungeon and reset it with a right click on your avatar and choosing “Reset all instances”. After that, you (and your friends) can go back in.
Another good spot to farm Heavy Leather is in Un’Goro.
