Burning Crusade Classic Alchemy can be learned from the following trainers:

The following list of materials is only a rough guide to get an overview of the quantitative dimensions of reagents needed to skill at maximum level! Depending on your luck or bad luck with the yellow/green recipes you might need more or less materials.

Skillguide
Starting to skill engineering begins very reagent intensiv, but you have to make large quantities of the components you need later, saving you a lot of time in the long run.
300-320
110x Handful of Fel Iron Bolts – 110 Fel Iron Bar
Handful of Fel Iron Bolts turns gray at skill 310, the following are green until 320.
80x Fel Iron Casing – 240 Fel Iron Bar (you need them later)
12x Elemental Blasting Powder – 12 Mote of Fire, 24 Mote of Earth (you need them later)
320-325
325-335
50x Adamantite Frame – 200 Adamantite Bar, 50 Primal Earth
After that, pick up Schematic: White Smoke Flare from Wind Trader Lathrai in the Lower City of Shattrath.
335-355
40x White Smoke Flare – 40 Elemental Blasting Powder, 40 Netherweave Cloth
The recipe is green from 345 on, so you have to get 10 skill points with a green recipe.
355-370
25x Adamantite Rifle – 75 Fel Iron Casing, 50 Adamantite Frame, 100 Handful of Fel Iron Bolts
Starting from here you have several Options:
370-375
You can craft more Adamantite Rifles to reach 375 (even though its a green recipe and you might have to craft it ~25 times). Or you can switch to one of the following recipes:
- 7x Hyper-Vision Goggles – 28 Heavy Knothide Leather, 14 Khorium Bar, 14 Nightseye, 14 Large Prismatic Shard
The recipe is dropped by Mo’arg Weaponsmiths (Shadowmoon Valley) - 7x Khorium Scope – 7 Hardened Adamantite Tube, 28 Khorium Bar, 14 Dawnstone
The Schematic: Khorium Scope is dropped by Sunfury Bowmans (Netherstorm) - 7x Felsteel Boomstick – 7 Hardened Adamantite Tube, 28 Felsteel Stabilizer, 28 Handful of Fel Iron Bolts
The Schematic is dropped by Doomforge Engineers (Blade’s Edge Mountain).
Specializations
Gnomish Engineering
In BC you will be able to craft ilvl 95 Gnomish Power Goggles and Gnomish Battle Goggles, learned from trainers.
To become a Gnomish Engineer, pick up the quest 
The Pledge of Secrecy from Tinkmaster Overspark in Ironforge or Oglethorpe Obnoticus in Booty Bay. Finish the follow-up quest Show Your Work by handing in:
If you craft all that stuff yourself you need the following reagents:
- 18x Mithril Bar
- 8x Heavy Leather
- 6x Bronze Bar
- 6x Iron Bar
- 2x Medium Leather
- 2x Wool Cloth
- 2x Gold Bar
- 1x Jade

Goblin Engineering
In BC you will be able to craft ilvl 95 Foreman’s Reinforced Helmet and Foreman’s Enchanted Helmet.
To become a Goblin Engineer, pick up the quest The Pledge of Secrecy from Nixx Sprocketspring in Gadgetzan.
Finish the follow-up quest Show Your Work by handing in the following:
- 20x Big Iron Bomb
- 20x Solid Dynamite
- 5x Explosive Sheep
If you craft all that stuff yourself you need the following reagents:
- 30x Iron Bar
- 20x Bronze Bar
- 2x Silver Bar
- 40x Heavy Blasting Powder
- 10x Solid Blasting Powder
- 20x Wool Cloth
- 10x Silk Cloth
- 5x Medium Leather
Useful Engineering Schematics
The Zapthrottle Mote Extractor
You may want the Item introduced with Patch 2.5.1.
You need an Engineering Skill of at least 305 to be able to pick up the quest https://wowhead.com/wotlk/quest=9636/the-zapthrottle-mote-extractor from
- K. Lee Smallfry in Telredor, Zangarmarsh [68.6, 50.2] or
- Mack Diver in Zabra’jin, Zangarmarsh [33, 50]
which rewards you with Schematic.
Flying Machines
Engineers are able to craft their own unique flying mounts (which are Bind on Use but require Engineering 350/375).
Flying Machine Control and Turbo-Charged Flying Machine Control are taught by these trainers:
